Description
This traditionally built micaceous coil cook pot is handmade and one of a kind. There is not another one like this. Each of the micaceous clay pots is different. This one I decorated with feathers that get applied at a very high temperature.
These pots are made with a very special clay that is quite durable and allows us to cook on the stove as well as in the oven. It is a slow cooker that can simmer for hours and make your beans, stews and tajines taste delicious, earthy and sweet. You can also keep your tortillas and bread hot or warm even when they are already served as this clay will keep the heat for quite some time.
Each pot is different, they are coil built the traditional way the Native Americans used to build them without a wheel. See for yourself.
The measurements are: 10 inches high with the lid on and about 9 inches wide. It holds 3.5 liters of liquid, or 9 pints.
